Educational Philosophy

Education is a pivotal driver of change, advancement, and equality in society. My role as an educator is to ignite a passion in students for learning. I need to reach every student in my classroom in a positive, engaged way so they have a learning experience they learn from but also remember. Students not only should learn concepts, but also be able to apply them and teach them to others. My goal is to help to form a child into a productive member of the global society. I teach them not only academics, but how to be a kind person and a person who works well with others. As an educator, we need to have a sociocultural awareness of and acceptance of their own and others' cultural identities and teach students to do the same. I strive to incorporate instructional methods that consider all of the varied backgrounds and learning abilities of students. I owe my students my passion, dedication, and my promise to keep up on educational research and always use best practice.
