Book Tasting
Students spent time "tasting" several different genres. Each table was a different genre. Students rotated and then wrote recommendations to other students. They also had a bookmark to write down titles they would like to read more of. This helped my students to experience different types of text they may not have considered before. Treats were included in the end!
